PR is the abbreviation for Public Relations. PR is the promotion intended to create goodwill for a person or institutions image, and a very important part of any brand/company/service’s marketing.

Essentially PR is a management function that focuses on two-way communication and fostering of mutually beneficial relationships between an organization and its publics. Any organization wants to make sure that their product/brand/service has a good image and is always presented in the most endearing way. They use PR to make sure of this.
Lots of different people use PR for lots of reasons –
Corporations use marketing public relations to convey information about their products to potential customers.
Corporations use public relations as a vehicle to reach legislators or to portray themselves as brilliant employers.
Politicians use public relations to attract votes and raise money for there campaigns.
